Your opportunity to be part of UKCAP’s strategic investment programme for 2025

UK Cities & Partners (UKCAP), a partnership brought together in 2023 by White Label and led by some of the UK’s largest local authorities alongside the Department of Business and Trade, are inviting new partners from both public and private sectors to join them in 2025.

Current UKCAP members include cities and regions, investors, developers, advisors and industry specialists who work together to enable meaningful support and connectivity to help unlock introductions and partnerships to deliver the UK growth agenda set out by the UK government.

UKCAP’s programme for 2025 includes a series of events both in the UK and overseas. These include an Investor Reception to be held in the City of London in January, where senior figures from both public and private sectors will meet to align their interests and ambitions for the year ahead. At MIPIM in March 2025, senior investors will present their strategies and views on the forthcoming year. At UKREiiF in May 2025, UKCAP will work closely with partners attending to add value to their activity throughout the show. Alongside, the UKCAP programme will align with The Scientific Superpower Conference in June, The London and South East Manufacturing, Industrial and Logistics Conference, LAST MILE and other key industry events.

The most significant event in UKCAP’s calendar is EXPO REAL, the most deal focussed event in the real estate calendar. UKCAP doubled its presence at the 2024 show compared to the previous year and this year saw the biggest ever UK delegation at EXPO.

Local authorities including London, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool, the Oxford to Cambridge region, West Midlands and the Thames Estuary were joined in Munich by private sector partners including Aviva Investors, Legal & General, Avison Young and Clifford Chance.

At EXPO REAL, UKCAP launched a fully interactive digital Investment Prospectus as a communications tool for the cities and regions in the delegation which showcased the most significant investable projects in the UK with a combined value of £100 billion. This platform remains open year-round, enabling future clients and partners to present opportunities within their regions.

Speaking at EXPO 2025, Deputy Director of Head of Investor Relations at the Department for Business and Trade, Gus Wiseman said: “The Department for Business and Trade is proud to support UK Cities and Partners, along with local authorities, in showcasing the UK’s investment offer of £100 billion worth of opportunities at Expo Real.

“Our Department is firmly committed to driving the Government’s mission for growth, supporting thousands of investment projects each year across the different nations and regions of the UK. Through reaching out to international investors, we can fund innovative new technologies, achieve our net zero goals and future-proof our economy.”
