Croydon has been changing rapidly, with culture and construction at its core. Bringing these topics into focus, White Label once again delivered the annual Develop Croydon Conference on 16th November 2022.
Over 200 developers, investors, agents and local authority representatives, attended the conference, titled ‘New era, New energy.’ Throughout the day they explored topics including how Croydon can cater to its residents, workers and visitors; bridge the gap between further and higher education and local employers; focus on Croydon’s workspaces to attract businesses in the future; keep residential and industrial schemes as a priority and create a lasting legacy as the London Borough of Culture 2023.
The conference involved each of White Label’s creative teams including events, communications and marketing, design and website, as well as our regeneration experts to produce and manage the event. This involved coordinating the conference programme, speakers schedule and briefing, a comprehensive email marketing campaign, including a video invite and pre and post-event mailers, detailed session write-ups and social media, with a dynamic bold brand used across the conference’s sustainable digital and print materials.
Chaired by the BBC’s Sally Bundock, the 2022 event was held across two venues, London South Bank University (LSBU) Croydon Campus and BOXPARK Croydon, with a format which included keynote speeches, panel discussions, break-out participatory workshop sessions and an evening networking reception.
With over 200 attendees and 150,000+ social impressions the conference had the largest attendance of the past three years, firmly restoring the event to its pre-COVID status.
Amy Crawford, project manager at White Label Creative said: “Our challenge this conference, was being able to co-ordinate in two locations. With lots of forward planning and our strong existing relationships with our local venue partners, the event took place seamlessly. The best feedback came from our participatory workshops, where all voices were heard – coming together to create a collective vision for Croydon.”
