White Label launches fifth consecutive business awards in the London borough of Southwark 

White Label launched the hugely-popular Southwark Business Excellence Awards 2022 with an in-person event at London South Bank University’s Business School.

Guests enjoyed canapes and light entertainment at the headline sponsor’s HQ while hearing more about how the programme recognises those who instil confidence and pride in the borough’s business community as well as providing a valuable networking opportunity and encouraging economic growth whilst marketing Southwark as a world class place to do business.

Speakers included Southwark councillor Jason Ochere and Business of the Year winner 2020 Zion Zachary of Peace Ballers, along with Sarah Moore-Williams, Dean, LSBU School of Business.

The Southwark Business Excellence Awards programme is now in its fifth year and will be running in partnership with Southwark Council and Southwark Chamber of Commerce.

LSBU is headline sponsor. Elephant and Castle Town Centre are sponsoring the Community Hero category, Landsec is sponsoring the Sustainable Green Investment Award with Lendlease sponsoring Best New Business.

Following the launch on 3 March, businesses now have until Friday, 22 April to submit their entries in up to three of our 12 categories including Best Employer; Best New Business; Best Charity or Social Enterprise; Contribution to the Community; Business Commitment to Education & Skills; Entrepreneur of The Year; Best Business for Customer Service; Business Pivot Award; Business Resilience Award; Community Hero; Outstanding Team Award; Sustainable Green Investment Award.

Finalists will be announced on 4 May ahead of the Southwark Business Excellence Awards Ceremony on 7 July when the overall Business of the Year – selected from category winners – will be announced.
