More the 200 experts from the industrial sector gathered at the prestigious BAFTA in Piccadilly for the third annual The London and South East Manufacturing, Industrial, and Logistics Conference (LAST MILE), again in partnership with Bridge Industrial and GLi.
LAST MILE brings together planning authorities, developers, contractors, architects, planning experts and agents, logistics and transport operators plus a variety of different occupiers to discuss the issues and challenges of plan and build for last mile and industrial development across London and the southeast.
The conference took place on 12 October at BAFTA London and was a wholly White Label-led event, where we secured speakers and set topics for keynotes and debates based on our discussions with industry leaders and sponsors.
Finding the venue, facilitating networking, hosting a breakfast, lunch, afternoon drinks reception and ensuring the smooth running of the day, was all part of the programme for the White Label team.
Topics included:
- An Identity Crisis – What places are we trying to create and what is the role of policy making and planning in logistics?
- Making It Fit For Purpose.
- Ultra-urban logistics.
- Creating a sustainable logistics pipeline for the future.
Speakers for 2023 include Trudy Revell, development director, KSP (representing GLi); Councillor Helen Dennis, cabinet member for new homes and sustainable development, Southwark Council; Paul Hanley, director, Graftongate; Chris Davies, founder of Harvest London and Chris Smedley, chief executive of Landways. Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration and Skills, Jules Pipe, delivered the closing keynote.
