In September, White Label were delighted to deliver the inaugural Opportunity Hounslow annual conference, further strengthening our reputation as a leading placemaking consultancy.  Showcasing Hounslow’s diverse economic landscape, cultural richness, strategic location, and robust infrastructure, the conference demonstrated how these features help to make Hounslow the ideal environment for growth and innovation.

Held at the Holiday Inn, Brentford Lock, and attended by over 100 delegates, the programme of prestigious speakers included keynote addresses by Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, Leader, Hounslow Council and Tom Copley, Deputy Mayor of London for Housing and Residential Development.  Panel discussions included a session entitled Opportunity Hounslow, examining what makes Hounslow an attractive investment opportunity and looking at current schemes shaping the borough.  The Hounslow’s Road to Net Zero panel demonstrated how Hounslow is setting the standard for green leadership and innovation.  Further panels included Good Growth in Key Sectors and Why Invest in Hounslow?  The second part of the conference focused on Housing.

As part of the Opportunity Hounslow programme, at LREF in September, we convened a round table discussion of 15 experts entitled Unlocking the Potential of Estates Regeneration.  The debate examined the challenges and successes in maintaining and regenerating estates of more than 1000 homes.  We transcribed the discussion and drafted a precis of the key findings, which Hounslow Council will use in future funding negotiations.
