West London and Gatwick Diamond to attend global real estate conference, UKREiiF 2024

Invest Gatwick Diamond, the South East’s landmark public-private delegation, is attending UKREiiF for the first time in 2024 while West London, the cross-borough partnership for the west of the capital, is marking its second consecutive year.

White Label is co-ordinating the presence of these key economic initiatives by supporting the delegations and facilitating both stands as they showcase their offer and opportunities. As part of their respective programmes for UKREiiF, West London is hosting a fringe event drinks reception and Gatwick Airport is hosting a discussion on ‘Airport Economic Zones’ on 22 May from 9.30am.

Spearheaded by the Gatwick Diamond initiative, Invest Gatwick Diamond will be joined by Gatwick Airport, Crawley Borough Council, SHW, East Surrey and Develop Croydon on its stand.

Those coming under the arm of the West London delegation include Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow, West London Business and Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation.

Held in Leeds over three days from 21 to 23 May, UKREiiF has an anticipated attendance of more than 10,000, including investors, developers, business occupiers and local government representatives.

Alice Lester, Director Regeneration, Growth and Employment at the London Borough of Brent, said: “UKREiiF 2023 was a great opportunity to showcase our offer as the second largest economy in the UK and to meet like-minded people from the private and public sector, as well as potential investors. Our regeneration journey continues at pace with key improvements in connectivity in the pipeline and major mixed-use and housing schemes coming to fruition. We are looking forward to the 2024 event to share our progress and meet new and innovative partners.”

Brett North, the Chairman and Chief Executive of the Gatwick Diamond Initiative, emphasised the significance of participation, saying: “Real estate and infrastructure play a critical role in regional development. That’s why we’re seizing this opportunity at UKREiiF to highlight our region’s unique selling points and its rich investment potential. We have so much to be proud of here in the Gatwick Diamond, and we are committed to meeting and partnering with likeminded organisations throughout the world.”

London Gatwick were one of the first private sector organisations to announce their support of the delegation. Alison Addy, Head of External Engagement and Policy at London Gatwick, said: “As the region’s economic anchor, London Gatwick is proud to be a partner and advocate for a thriving and resilient local economy. It is important that we promote the region to drive inward investment and position it as an attractive place to live, work and invest. So, we’re looking forward to doing just that in partnership with the local authorities and major stakeholders in the Gatwick Diamond region at UKREiiF in May.”
