Junior WordPress Web Designer / Developer

White Label is growing full-service agency based in Croydon specialising in marketing and events. We are expanding our web development team and are looking for a dynamic Junior WordPress Designer/Developer with a love for all things WordPress. They must be creative and have a passion for problem solving and designing and building websites for a wide range of our clients.

As a Junior WordPress Designer/Developer, you will have the exciting opportunity to work alongside our senior team of designers and developers on creating new projects and improving existing ones. You will be part of our friendly in-house studio and working closely with the other teams to develop high quality digital WordPress solutions.

This is a hybrid role with a mix of front-end designing and back-end building of WordPress websites so experience in both is essential.

Key Skills:

– Excellent knowledge of WordPress
– Experience using HTML, CSS & JS
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially XD and Photoshop
– Proven experience in frontend and backend development of WordPress websites
– Knowledge of creating sitemaps and wireframes
– A strong understanding of UX design and responsive design for multiple devices
– Experience of hosting platforms and setting up and deploying websites on staging platforms and DNS Management
– Knowledge of Dotdigital and/or other email marketing platforms (experience in Dotdigital preferred)
– Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

Useful experience:

– Able to create WordPress plugins and themes
– Experience with version control
– SEO reporting and best practices
– Working with API’s / Zapier

Hours:

Full time. Permanent
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5.30pm
Start date: Immediate

Salary:

£22 – £26k dependant on experience.
