The Role
White Label is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Sales Manager to support the growth of our business through sponsorship sales, new client acquisition and account expansion. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, drive revenue growth, and oversee the successful delivery of client projects.

You will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects across events, marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, design, and business support programmes.

Sales will primarily be targeted toward White Label’s industry conferences and annual investment programmes. These include LAST MILE, Building New Communities, the Develop Croydon Conference and Develop Croydon annual programme, Gatwick Region at UKREiiF, Kent Housing Conference, Essex Housing Awards, UK Cities and Partners and the UK Screen Investment Programme.

This role reports to the Associate Director for place marketing, sales and conferences.

Key Tasks

Business Development & Sales

Identify and secure new business opportunities, leveraging networks and forging strategic partnerships.
Develop and implement sponsorship sales strategies to drive revenue growth, including lead generation and client engagement.
Manage and expand relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth.
Represent White Label at industry events to enhance brand visibility and build partnerships.
Work with internal teams to create compelling sales proposals and marketing materials.

Account Management

Act as the primary liaison for key client accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery and long-term retention.
Oversee project delivery for sponsors/clients, ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality execution.
Foster strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and suppliers to drive successful outcomes.
Provide detailed project reporting, including performance analysis and client feedback.

Commercial & Strategic Contribution

Collaborate with senior leadership to refine business development strategy and identify new opportunities.
Monitor industry trends to drive informed sales and marketing strategies.

Essential Skills & Experience

5+ years’ experience in sales, business development or account management preferred.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and secure new revenue-generating opportunities.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at senior levels.
Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in supporting the management of project budgets effectively to ensure profitability.
Ability to write persuasive sales proposals, project plans and marketing content.
Strong understanding of CRM systems and their role in sales and client management.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously.
Experience in property, real estate, marketing, awards, conferences, economic development, or business support would be highly advantageous.

Office details and conditions
