Project Manager Job Description

We are looking for an experienced project manager who is organised, engaging and ambitious to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, a proven track record of managing complex projects and the ability to work with senior level clients.

White Label Creative is a marketing and events agency known for our expertise in place marketing and working with the property sector. We work UK-wide, but have a significant client base in London and the south east, particularly in our hometown, Croydon. The Team

White Label specialises in working with the property sector. We run inward investment initiatives and place marketing campaigns for numerous local authorities, LEPs and BIDs, providing events, information and resources to advance and promote physical development and economic growth.

We also support our private-sector clients with meanwhile use programmes, public community consultations, topping-out ceremonies and building launches, as well as in marketing developments – across residential, office and industrial.

The place marketing team leads on all projects related to the property sector, place promotion and regeneration. We work with some of the leading businesses in the industry, communicating ideas, positioning brands, attracting investment and bringing places to life.

We also have a series of flagship conferences that we project manage within the team. These tie into place-based promotion, as well as the wider property sector. Examples include the Develop Croydon Conference, Capital West London Growth Summit, Building Garden Communities and Real Estate Live UK.

The Role
Our new project manager will be responsible for leading on work for existing clients and new business.

Projects are likely to include an amalgamation of events, marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, communications, design, strategy and business support programmes. As a result, the role will be diverse and varied incorporating aspects of account management, event management and marketing.

The project manager will need to be confident working with high-level stakeholders.

Key Tasks
Lead on day-to-day client liaison and internal coordination for key accounts and projects:

  • Write and follow through project plans for ongoing, cross-disciplinary activity, assigning roles and ensuring tasks are completed
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Support on formulating project strategies – identifying stakeholders, engagement necessary and appropriate timescales
  • Play an active role in the planning and delivery of all aspects of our projects
  • Manage and take responsibility for account and project budgets
  • Develop and maintain strong partnership, client and supplier relationships
  • Manage and coordinate members of the project team as well as supporting teams
  • Support implementation of ongoing delivery of a CRM system
  • Work closely with the department lead and directors to ensure projects run smoothly, delivered on time and to budget, reporting and escalating as needed
  • Liaise with internal teams on events, marketing, design, web, comms/ PR and sales
  • Manage feedback reports to clients and on all major projects
  • Identify business development opportunities for White Label with existing clients and partners

In addition, the right candidate will be required to:

  • Deliver exceptional level of customer service and ensure positive customer experience
  • Attend industry events
  • Be a Self-starter – able to identify work that needs to be done and to do it without instruction
  • Be detail oriented – pay attention to details regarding processes and pay extra attention to agreed sponsors and key stakeholder deliverables
  • Take a proactive interest in the property, real estate and regeneration sectors
  • Draft copy for communications and marketing materials
  • Support on marketing strategies

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in account, event or project management, or a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Outlook
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have attention to detail
  • Proven management skills and the ability to work with a team
  • Commercial awareness; able to generate innovative, creative and profitable solutions for the business
  • Experience of effectively managing multiple projects at once
  • Gravitas, professionalism and confidence
  • Pro-active and creative attitude
  • Experience working in the property sector, marketing and events, economic development or business support highly advantageous
