The sparkling short film captures all the optimism and fun of the International Women’s Day launch of the first Sutton Women Mean Business Awards in association with Willmott Dixon. It also features 14 Sutton Inpirational Women, who will act as ambassadors for the awards, talking about the awards and encouraging entries and nominations.

A joint initiative between Successful Sutton BID and White Label Creative, the awards are open to women working across all professions, businesses and sectors, including charities and social enterprise in Sutton.

They are already attracting lots of entries from inspiring women – the eventual winners, who will go on to be next year’s Sutton Inspirational Women, will be announced at a glittering Gala Dinner in September.
More than 80 guests attended the awards launch party at Sutton Point on International Women’s Day. Over tea, cakes and prosecco, they heard inspirational speeches from business, political and community leaders – including top local entrepreneur Susie Ma (pictured top) – who all embraced the International Women’s Day theme ‘Balance for Better.’

Guests also got a first look at the stunning, specially commissioned Pop Art portraits in the Sutton Inspirational Women Photographic Exhibition, some of whom are pictured above. All 14 featured women were nominated by local organisations because their success and ability to make a difference in their chosen fields mark them out as role models for other women.
The Sutton Women Mean Business Awards are sponsored by Willmott Dixon, Successful Sutton, Willmott Dixon, Beddington for Business, Kier, KIPPA BID, London Borough of Sutton, Riva Bingo, Time & Leisure, Watkins Cole and launch sponsor CNM-Sutton Point.
