Striking projections for Scotland’s first Duck and Waffle restaurant

When the owners of Duck & Waffle decided to open the brand’s first UK venture outside of London, White Label were brought on board to help create a striking video installation which would complement the new restaurant’s interior design.

The White Label design team were tasked with producing video projections for two prominent pillars in the new restaurant, located in the Scottish city of Edinburgh. At three metres high each, the brief was to create a visual treatment on a 2-and-a-half-hour loop, meaning diners would, in theory, not see the same design on the pillars for their entire dining experience.

Our design studio meticulously considered the mix of visuals for the video, creating an arresting final design, which when projected, complements the maximalist interior of Duck and Waffle’s latest venture.

Andrew Keen, Creative Director, White Label remarks: “We were honoured to be chosen as the studio to produce such a prominent installation for Duck and Waffle’s Edinburgh restaurant. Video projection lends itself brilliantly to modern restaurant interiors, creating a multi-sensory and fully immersive dining experience, without feeling gimmicky. We can’t wait for diners to experience the video as they enjoy their food.”
