The Southwark Business Excellence Awards returned for their 6th year in 2023 – with the winners to be announced at an Awards Ceremony in Southwark College on 15 February.
Since 2018, this White Label-led programme, run on behalf of Southwark Council and Southwark Chamber of Commerce, has been a popular fixture on the Southwark business events calendar. There are a range of categories to enter, from Best Independent Business to Best Employer.
The success of the programme has attracted steadfast sponsors and supporters invested in the London Borough of Southwark, and White Label would like to thank them for their commitment. They include Berkeley Capital, Elephant & Castle Town Centre, Greystar, Landsec, Adroit Accountax, Alumno, Anthony Gold, Pulse Consult and Willmott Dixon.
Through the years, the programme has hosted Gala Dinners and a 1920s-themed Gatsby Gala event. It weathered Covid lockdowns by pivoting to an online ceremony, then going hybrid the following year, both of which proved to be exciting and welcome innovations in years where meeting in person was either prevented or severely restricted.
This year, the programme will continue to reflect the times with Southwark College’s landmark building being the venue for this year’s ceremony. The recently-redeveloped, state-of-the art building boasts an impressive atrium and design space, and won praise for its cutting-edge design which applied redevelopment and retrofitting to complement its urban setting on The Cut in Waterloo.
