Salary: c£35 dependant on experience

We are looking for a  Senior Communications Executive who is enthusiastic about working in the regeneration, built environment and property industries.

Our ideal candidate will be pro-active, organised, engaged and have a proven track record of understanding and communicating complex material as well as the ability to work with senior level clients.

Our style is to apply a ‘newsroom’ approach to our clients’ content challenges -which means we are a particularly good fit for content writers with strong journalistic experience and skills.

As an agency, White Label specialises in working with the regeneration, built environment and property industries. We run a number of inward investment initiatives and place marketing campaigns for numerous local and regional governmental organisations as well as private clients, providing events, information and resources to advance and promote development and economic renewal.

The Role

The Senior Communications Executive will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering integrated PR and communications strategies for White Label projects as well as our private clients, including writing press releases for local, national and trade media and obtaining approval for relevant parties.

Content will include print, online, social media and marketing content and the successful applicant will need to be capable of running campaigns for multiple projects at one time. They will draw up communications and social media plans in liaison with internal teams and take responsibility for elements of account management.

Further, they will have the ability to build valuable relationships with local, regional and trade press – particularly at industry events.

  • An exceptional ability to convey messages across a range of channels
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills with the ability to produce interesting content with a quick turn around and to present ideas verbally
  • Research skills with the ability to quickly grasp new projects’ aims
  • First rate organisational skills enabling them to work across multiple projects in liaison with internal departments under pressure to tight deadlines
  • An interest, and ideally experience, in property, regeneration, development, place promotion and the built environment
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact with senior contacts and be client-facing
  • Ability to form relationships with relevant press contacts
  • A pro-active and creative attitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm to work as part of a team as well as be self-motivated and responsible for own workload

Minimum requirements

  • An NCTJ qualification, a B.A. in English or journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years editorial, PR, journalism, or marketing communications experience
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills
  • Ability to work quickly, under deadline pressures, at a high-quality level
  • Strong knowledge of English grammar and usage, and solid proofreading skills
  • Ability to focus and multitask in a fast-paced environment and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to exercise good independent judgment and discretion
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

Office details and conditions

Working hours can be regular between projects but, due to the nature of the role, you will sometimes be required to work additional and unsocial hours

Travel to visit clients, partners, sponsors, venues and other suppliers will sometimes be necessary.

The successful candidate may need to work indoors, outdoors and in all weather conditions at specific events.
