Round tables see experts explore challenges and opportunities for growth

Throughout September White Label Creative brought together key experts and stakeholders to discuss thought leadership topics impacting the real estate sector, hosting three round tables.

Building Garden Communities hosted a round table focusing on Schools and Skills with key discussion points focussed on the possibility for schools to be designed flexibly to allow other uses, the point in a garden community delivery timeline at which schools should be brought forward, and the need for closer working between education and business – particularly in the construction sector.

Capital West London and WSP hosted a round table looking at how the sub-region can implement a net zero action plan. Key actions included lobbying for a green economy zone to be created, how to create economies of scale to attract investment in retrofitting and green infrastructure, how to ensure the public are able to contribute to net zero and the delivery of skills and jobs in the green sector.

Develop Croydon brought together experts to discuss the borough’s workplace opportunities as people look to return to the office. Key discussion points included Croydon’s strong position in providing a range of office spaces and the work life balance, the importance of internet connectivity to support the new way of working and the opportunities the new universities provide to create a knowledge hub to support businesses in the area.
