Manufacturing district is Scotland’s next big opportunity site

A major investment opportunity site in Scotland – the UK’s top destination for foreign direct investment outside London – was promoted at a White Label-facilitated webinar on behalf of Scottish Development International.

The Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland (AMIDS) in Renfrewshire was spotlighted ahead of an official launch to seek a Commercial JV Partner.

The ‘Scotland’s Innovation Investment Opportunities’ event on January 21 also showcased the country as a key driver of manufacturing and medicine.

Speakers included:

  • Simon Parsons, Senior Manager, Scottish Development International (Chair)
  • Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation
  • Barbara Walker, City Deal Project Director, Renfrewshire Council
  • John Arthur, Director, MMIC
  • John Reid, CEO, NMIS
  • Mark Robertson, Managing Partner, Ryden

The event was part of a webinar and round table series with Scottish Development International to help drive forward their capital investment plans during lockdown by virtually promoting pipeline projects to investors and developers.
