London Heathrow Airport’s (LHR) first annual business summit since the pandemic was facilitated by White Label.
The November 2022 event at Heathrow’s Marriot Hotel followed a three-year hiatus since the 23rd edition back in 2019, before COVID-19.
Heathrow is Britain’s busiest airport and is also the largest employer in West London. With SMEs comprising over 40 per cent of the airport’s supply chain, the summit provided a unique opportunity for local SMEs to find out how they can work with larger suppliers and Heathrow itself as it continues to recover. With the Summit also providing the opportunity to highlight ways in which SMEs can be part of how Heathrow grows sustainably.
The event took place in partnership with local chambers of commerce, business groups and local stakeholders.
White Label’s experienced events team coordinated the Summit, consisting of a 50-stand exhibition space, conference programme and break out workshops, as well as a speed networking area, providing varied opportunities for attendees to connect and establish new business relationships and build on their understanding of Heathrow and its supply chain.
This was supported by our web, design, communications and marketing departments with a new website built to provide all of the event information and booking. The team also created short videos, providing an insight into the procurement process across the airports categories to be used on the day and for future promotion, as well as live recordings at the event to capture the full scope of the summit and quotes from attendees.
White Label Associate Director, Julie Leggatt, said: “Supporting one of the world’s largest and most influential airports to connect with small, local businesses, was an exciting opportunity for White Label and complements our ongoing partnership work with West London boroughs, through Capital West London and the West London Alliance, promoting economic growth and employment opportunities.”
