Croydon community events take centre stage

The White Label Events team have been busy this winter pulling together business and community events across Croydon.

Kids and adults alike were able to enjoy the traditional Helter Skelter last Christmas as Croydon BID launched its annual festive entertainment on the high street, which also featured live music and street performers. White Label’s design, communications and events team worked together with the BID to market and coordinate the event and White Label were on hand throughout the weekend ensuring everything ran smoothly and fun was had by all.

As the New Year saw many people make the resolution to improve their health and fitness, White Label helped MyPT launch its new gym in Sunley House on 30th January with a VIP event for the local business community along with marketing and social media support.

Tom Riddick, managing director of MyPT, said: “I’m so excited to be able to open MyPT The Gym. This is an exciting expansion that means we can continue our work of improving the health and wellbeing of residents and celebrating positivity and community within Croydon.”

The next major community event in the White Label events calendar is the Croydon Music and Food Festival in June which has been coordinated by the company for over eight years, and each year attracting more and more people to taste the amazing food offering in South Croydon. The family fun event involves the full closure of South End road which is then filled with food stalls, stages for live music and street performers roaming the street to entertain the young and old, all coordinated by the White Label events team from the legal paperwork to close the road to the full marketing of the festival and event coordination on the day.

The Mayor of Croydon, Cllr Humayun Kabir said: “The Food Festival is a great event for Croydon that brings people of all ages and cultures together to enjoy a great family day out of fantastic food and music. I congratulate everyone involved for putting on another successful event for the borough.”
