Countdown to the Building New Communities Conference

There’s just over a month to go until the Building New Communities Conference, and a new video has been launched to promote the event.

Now in its sixth year, experts from across the UK will convene on 21 April at Kings Place, London, to help define the new generation of housebuilding and place-making.

The 2026 conversation is taking on added urgency. As the Government’s pledge to deliver 1.5 million homes through new towns, urban extensions and garden communities gathers pace, the focus is shifting from ambition to delivery. The question is no longer what we want to build – but how we make it happen.

The event is curated and delivered by White Label, which works with partners across the public and private sectors to shape the programme, convene stakeholders and ensure the right conversations take place. Our role spans programme design, speaker curation, stakeholder engagement, event production and communications, bringing together policymakers, developers, investors and place leaders around the practical challenges of delivery.

One way we gather insight is through a series of focused roundtables, designed and facilitated by White Label to explore the granular detail behind the sector’s biggest opportunities and barriers. These sessions help inform the conference agenda and ensure discussions are grounded in real-world experience.

The most recent discussion, Putting ‘Pride in Place’ into Practice, took place at Willmott Dixon Interiors in London. Key takeaways included how affordability and fears of community decline are key factors in engagement, and how large-scale housing growth offers major opportunities but must invest in existing communities as well as incoming residents.

White Label has also led the creative and content development for the programme, including producing a new promotional video from concept through to publication, helping to capture the importance of the conversation and build momentum ahead of the event.
