Content producer (part or full time)

We are looking for a creative content producer who is organised, engaging and has excellent attention to detail to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have first-rate writing skills, a proven track record of understanding and communicating complex material and the ability to work with senior level clients.

Our style is to apply a ‘newsroom’ approach to our clients’ content challenges -which means we are a particularly good fit for content writers with strong journalistic experience and skills.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Experience working in a content-focused team or agency
  • A promising portfolio of both editorial and commercially focused writing
  • A good understanding of what it takes to build an engaged audience via social media, blogs and other online platforms
  • An exceptional ability to convey messages across a range of channels
  • Knowledge of web writing tactics and how to optimise for SEO
  • Experience of working with a range of website CMS and design and editing programmes
  • excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills with the ability to produce interesting content with a quick turn around and to present ideas verbally
  • research skills with the ability to quickly grasp new projects’ aims
  • first rate organisational skills enabling them to work across multiple projects in liaison with internal departments under pressure to tight deadlines

The Role
Our new content producer will be responsible for creating a range of engaging content for existing clients and new business.

Key Tasks
Lead on day-to-day client liaison and internal team co-ordination in order to:

  • Prepare and curate content (written, video, graphical, digital) across a range of digital channels (social, email, online, web) ensuring consistency with brand and tone of voice guidelines
  • Monitor and create content for social media channels, which can include Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all channels (e.g. news, web, digital and social), updating the website and social media accounts.
  • Manage and update internal and client’s websites to ensure all information is relevant and up-to-date, ensuring we are publishing fresh, informative and well-crafted content that engages audiences.
  • PR and Media: leverage our own and our client’s voice in the print and online media, relevant local press, broadcast media and social media platforms
  • Design, create and send newsletters
  • Recommend and, if required, develop and implement specific PR and digital campaigns

In addition the candidate will be expected to:

  • Effectively measure and evaluate communications activity and provide regular reports against targets
  • Deliver exceptional level of customer service and ensure positive customer experience
  • Be a self-starter – able to identify work that needs to be done and to do it without instruction
  • Be detail oriented – pay attention to details
  • Take a proactive interest in the relevant client markets

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a news or PR agency environment
  • A recognised NCTJ or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in using a variety of content, video and photographic software
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have attention to detail
  • Proven management skills and the ability to work with a team
  • Pro-active and creative attitude
