Conference season success

White Label hosted the second Capital West London Growth Summit and its tenth Develop Croydon Conference with record numbers attending.

The second Capital West London Growth Summit was held in October at the Lyric Hammersmith, chaired by BBC’s Amol Rajan with speakers from Yoo Capital, TfL, Stanhope, Argent, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, U+I, Savills, London First, Centre for London, London and Partners, Hammersmith BID, WSP, London Borough of Barnet, Brent Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow and Hounslow plus many more.

White Label coordinated the events logistics, programme and communications for the day with nearly 300 delegates attending and coverage across key trade titles also achieved following interest from relevant journalists.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the Summit and have deepened my understanding of the issues and opportunities surrounding inward investment. I particularly enjoyed the panel on ‘Investing in Creativity’ and some of the ideas that came out of ‘Building an Entrepreneurial Culture.” Gabriella Koumis, Inside Government

“A short note to thank you for a well chaired panel, certainly some interesting points raised and it was good to see the commitment from major developers to continue in London trying to maximise truly affordable housing.” Cllr Graham D Henson, London Borough of Harrow

“Huge congratulations on a really well executed event last week. I was really impressed with the speakers, varied agenda and was fascinated by the lunchtime tour – I left feeling very inspired!” Sarah Stone, Marketing Campaign Manager, WSP

The event was followed in November by the Develop Croydon Conference which was celebrating its tenth year and returning to its former home – the newly refurbished Fairfield Halls.

Despite pre-election purdah causing some setbacks with the programme and speaker line up, White Label’s Regen and Events team were able to run one of the most successful conferences to date attracting over 300 attendees and securing positive trade press coverage.

Chaired by FT’s Courtney Fingar and speakers from London Borough of Croydon, Gatwick Airport, GLA, Schroders, Brick by Brick, Native, HTA Design, Tide Construction and Vision Modular Systems, London Festival of Architecture, Prologis and many more, the conference achieved the best coverage so far with articles in the key trade and local titles.

“Many thanks for making yesterday’s panel so interesting and enjoyable.  It was really impressive to see how much interest the conference generated as a whole and encouraging that our own session was so well attended,” said Ben Derbyshire, Chair, HTA Design LLP.

“Just a quick note to say thanks for having us at the ‘Develop Croydon’ conference yesterday. I really enjoyed speaking on the panel and hearing about all the amazing things that are happening in Croydon. Super inspiring and exciting! Lucy and I met some really interesting people and saw some great talks and discussions, ” said Maxine Pringle, Associate Director, All Design.

The Capital West London Growth Summit and Develop Croydon Conference will be held in 2020 along with the inaugural Invest Crawley Conference on 18th March.
