Launched in 2018 by White Label in partnership with Southwark Chamber of Commerce and Southwark Council, the Southwark Business Excellence Awards has become one of the borough’s standout business celebrations. Over six years, the awards had grown into a platform that recognises the success of Southwark’s diverse business community.
With our expertise in event delivery, project management, speaker coordination, and creative design, White Label oversaw every stage of the Southwark Business Excellence Awards, from sponsorship and entries to independent judging and the design and production of the ceremonies. The continued support of our partners was instrumental in establishing the awards as a standout moment in Southwark’s business calendar.
The awards had continued to evolve overtime. During the Covid-19 pandemic, White Label successfully pivoted the programme online, hosting ceremonies on Zoom in 2020 and later from a professional greenroom setting. New award categories were introduced to spotlight resilience and innovation, to ensure businesses were still celebrated during challenging times.
As restrictions eased, the 2022 awards returned in style, embracing a glamorous 1920s theme with The Gatsby Gala at Ministry of Sound, complete with additional activities. In 2023, the awards moved to Southwark College with a refreshed format, evolving beyond the traditional sit-down dinner into a vibrant, modern celebration that captured the energy and dynamism of Southwark today.
