As the UK government commits to building 1.5m homes by 2029, Building Garden Communities programme is rebranded Building New Communities

The Building New Communities Conference, creatively delivered by White Label, will take place at RIBA on Tuesday 29 April 2025.

Previously known as the Building Garden Communities Conference, the day-long event and our associated programme of communications activity will now have a broader scope.  It will include the development of the new towns and urban extensions announced by the government in July this year as part of their target to deliver 1.5 million new homes in this Parliament and “get Britain Building again”.

The day-long Building New Communities Conference comprises a programme of keynote addresses, panel sessions and round table discussions.  A Steering Group of industry experts has been convened to advise on and help to develop content for the conference.   Full details of the programme will be announced in due course, but topics to be covered include Inclusivity – ensuring mix of tenures; Including existing communities in new developments; Funding – joint ventures; Transport; Planning; Environmental issues, including protecting wildlife habitats.

The event is the ideal forum and information resource for local authorities, investors, housebuilders, architects, planners and other stakeholders involved in the delivery of new homes.

The day concludes with a drinks reception – the perfect networking opportunity.

English Estates, Greenbelt, Mills & Reeve, Pinsent Mason and Urban Design Group are supporting partners for the event.  If you would like to discuss potential partnership opportunities for the Conference, please contact scook@wlcreative.org.uk

If you would like to attend the conference, don’t miss the limited super early bird offer of £195 + VAT (valid until 6 December 2024).
