Careers and opportunities in construction and engineering were in the spotlight at a free event organised by South London Partnership and supported by Croydon Commitment.
More than 20 exhibitors attended the Construction & Engineering Careers Fair, which was supported by the Mayor of London and event managed by White Label.
Residents from across South London went along to browse exhibitors, talk to employers and explore opportunities at the event which took place on 3 May at the TMRW Hub in Croydon High Street. It was aimed at people who were interested in careers in the sector as well as those seeking training and new opportunities within it.
Polly Persechino, Head of Economy, Skills and Employment, South London Partnership, said: “It was fantastic to see so many exhibitors at the event showcasing the many careers on offer in construction and engineering. From electronics to carpentry, and from office staff to managers, there really are opportunities for all right here on our doorstep in South London.”
White Label’s digital marketing team also played a pivotal role attracting footfall to the event, thanks to a carefully crafted paid social media campaign. Their efforts were dedicated to engaging a targeted audience of local residents who possessed a genuine interest in pursuing a career within the sector.
