On Wednesday, 26 April, White Label Creative planned and creatively delivered the third edition of the Garden Communities Conference at RIBA, London.
The White Label team coordinated all event logistics, including programme curation, venue coordination, speaker briefings, delegate management, on-site delivery, and design, as well as marketing and social media throughout the event’s build-up and post-event.
The Conference brought together over 200 attendees comprising a diverse range of professionals connected to building garden communities including representatives from of local councils, housebuilders, planners, stakeholders and industry experts.
Sally Bundock, BBC presenter, led the one-day event, with keynotes from Fionnuala Lennon, Head of Garden Communities at Homes England; Adrian Bohr, Chief Executive Officer Regeneration and Communities at Places for People and panels which included Guy Nicholson, Chair, HGGT, Katy Lock, Director, TCPA, Harry Lewis, Project Director, Langarth Garden Village, Julia Wallace, Director of Placemaking, Otterpool Park, Adam Bryan, CEO at SELEP, Chris Bath, Architectural Partner & Urban Designer at BPTW, Jo Mills, Head of Decarbonisation at Willmott Dixon, Mike Axon, Global Director at Transport from SLR Consulting (formerly Vectos) and Richard Thomas, Group Sustainability Manager at Trustgreen (Trust MGT).
The event concluded with a networking drinks reception, allowing attendees to exchange experiences and best practice while building their networks
Topics of discussion included making the financial case, design, inclusivity, travel, climate resilience and stewardship and how these factors will impact garden communities in progress and those who are still in the planning stages.
