When newly-launched built environment brand BE News needed a website, White Label was their port of call.
Run by former editor of Property Week, Liz Hamson, who has been a guest speaker at many White Label-run conferences, and former Property Week contributing editor Simon Creasey, BE News is the only free online news service to cover the entire built environment industry.
With news, insights, comment pieces from leading industry experts, image-led articles, a video section and events listings – to name but a few of its features – benews.co.uk launched on 1 December 2022.
In the first six weeks, it attracted over 1,500 members to register for its free to access news service.
White Label Web Project Manager, John Hill, said: “This was completely different to anything we’ve done before. While we have grown a reputation for specialist websites focusing on conferences, events and place marketing, this is a news platform that we built from the ground up.”
“The brief was to create a bold website with a simple colour palette to differentiate topics and create a layout that was easy to navigate with a strong focus on imagery, as well as being fully responsive across a range of devices.”
The first phase of BE News’s website is now complete – but watch this space for some exciting developments coming up in the second phase, launching in March.
“This website is always going to be evolving and has great potential for growth, from adding more sections to launching exciting, innovative initiatives,” John said.
We also designed the e-newsletter template which BE News will use to issue daily news.
“We are experts in place-marketing and understand the industry extremely well, having put out so much sector news ourselves, so it helped to understand what they’re trying to achieve,” John said.
