White Label Creative is a marketing and events agency known for our expertise in place marketing and working with the property sector. We work UK-wide, but have a significant client base in London and the south East, particularly in our hometown, Croydon. Role description
This event manager will be responsible for the production of a variety of White Label events from conception through to completion. Events can include:
- Awards programmes
- Exhibitions and Conferences
- Community Events and Festivals;
- Corporate events;
We are looking for candidates with initiative and self-motivation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail. You will also have excellent communication skills.
Successful candidates will have the ability to take direction working within a busy team and the confidence to manage internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for an innovative and hard-working awards professional who can get going from day one and work alongside the events team on a busy portfolio.
Candidate attributes:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in event management is required
- An Awards background is desirable but not essential
- Self-led with an ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate the team around you
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Project management experience
- Time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Problem-solving skills and diplomacy
- Strong communication, teamwork and negotiation skills; sales and marketing skills
- The ability to manage budgets and understanding of financial P&Ls.
Duties may include:
- Managing over a range of virtual, hybrid and in-person events from start to completion
- Supporting and delivering the strategic planning and management of our events/awards programme
- Support the Associate Director with high-level pitches to existing and new clients
- Managing event budgets and keeping an accurate reporting of all event expenditure and ensuring a profitable event
- Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
- Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements
- Venue sourcing and management, including room layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations.
- Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
- Identifying and securing speakers or special guests
- Responsible for table planning at the Award Ceremonies
- Coordinating staffing requirements and briefings
- Preparing delegate packs and papers
- Liaising with marketing and PR colleagues to promote the event
- Supervise the internal design and print, liaising closely with the in-house marketing and creative teams and outside suppliers, as and when necessary
- Overseeing the set-up, dismantling and removal of events, including clearing the venue efficiently
- Post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders) and feeding improvements into future events
Office details and conditions
- Working hours can be regular between projects but, due to the nature of the role, the Events Manager will be required to work additional and unsocial hours.
- Due to COVID, currently White Label staff are working on a temporary hybrid model. The candidate would need to be open to working full time in the office, full time from home or a flexible working policy.
White Label event staff are mainly office based but travel to visit clients, partners, sponsors, venues and other suppliers is required. The successful candidate may work indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, to plan and deliver events.
The position reports into the Associate Director.
