Develop Croydon, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, founded by White Label, will be aiming to take home the ‘Partnership Working’ Award in Placemaking at this year’s Planning Awards ceremony.

Develop Croydon has been spearheading the town’s transformation for nearly a decade, having grown from eight founding members into a powerful group of over 75 partners, who all share a vision to promote Croydon as a location to invest, work and live. The Forum runs a number of events and promotions each year that aim to showcase the borough and its regeneration, all in partnership with its impressive stakeholder network. It is the collaboration of the members in the shared aim of improving our much loved Borough that is yielding such success.

Develop Croydon has worked hard over the last eight years to help build a town that everyone can be part of and enjoy, whether they live, work or spend their social time here. As a group we represent both public and private sectors, across multiple industries, and by working collaboratively have managed to make an impact. It is great that all partners involved have been recognised for this work. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the final prize but it is fantastic to have got this far.”

Develop Croydon is up against some big competition as it its competitors include: Barton Park, Oxford; Hatfield 2030+ Renewal Partnership; Hounslow Schools Partnership Project; Thurrock/Brentwood – Managed Service Arrangement; Whitehill and Bordon Healthy New Towns Partnership.

The awards ceremony will be taking place on Tuesday 4 June 2019 at the RIBA 66 Portland Place.
