White Label is delighted to be supporting Like Worcester Park Business Improvement District as it campaigns for a ‘yes vote’ in its first ballot.
Ahead of the decision day in November, White Label is working extremely hard on a new brand, website and business plan for the BID’s Steering Group to distribute to businesses in the area.
The White Label design, PR and communications teams were able to draw on experience with BIDs in Croydon, Orpington, Hammersmith, Kingston and Bexley to assist the smooth running of the project.
The Like Worcester Park campaign complemented our previous work on BID ballots with Croydon Town Centre and Orpington 1st. Both BIDs were coming to the end of five-year terms and business leaders were seeking support in marketing the right message to secure another term.
Using clear and concise positive messaging throughout the town centre through a wide range of media, White Label successfully engaged with the levy payers on behalf of each bid.
The re-ballots were successful and White Label continues to work closely with both BIDs on their marketing, PR and events.
White Label has also recently been awarded a contract to run this year’s Croydon Christmas lights festivities and accompanying PR, following our first project for Hammersmith London this summer promoting and event managing their Summer Festival. In addition, White Label also supports both BIDs on their day-to-day marketing and communications.
In July, we ran the incredibly innovative and exciting Big Bang event on behalf of Successful Sutton as part of a UK-wide celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) learning.
The week-long festival of science in the town centre featured a walk-through solar system, giant animatronic T-Rex, zorbing, TV presenter Johnny Ball, mixology classes, a Women in Science gallery and the Big Bang Fair at Sutton Grammar School featuring exhibitions, workshops and hands-on tasks.
Furthermore, this summer, the White Label events team organised the Sidcup Fringe Festival in the London Borough of Bexley on behalf of Sidcup Partners Ltd. The summer event provided a weekend of free entertainment: live music, performing arts displays, community stalls, stilt-walkers, face-painters and an open-air cinema screening of top movies. White Label branded the event, provided publicity in the run-up to the day, social media coverage and coordinated all print and marketing requirements.
The UK’s first ever BID, Kingston First, is based in the Royal Borough of Kingston and White Label has worked closely with it to deliver a series of local business breakfast briefings featuring high-profile speakers discussing locally important topics.
The hugely successful Business Excellence Awards in Kingston and Croydon are also delivered by White Label. With hundreds of entries and sell-out Gala Dinners, the awards become more successful every year.
In recent months, White Label has also designed a new brand for the annual Croydon Food and Music Festival on behalf of South Croydon Business Association. White Label has been cordinating the entire event since 2013 – no mean feat when attendance numbers are now 10,000-plus.
White Label director Katharine Glass said: “Business Improvement Districts are highly-innovative organisations that can really rejuvenate town centres through private sector partnerships. We are privileged to have supported numerous campaigns to enable this to happen.
“Our involvement is also reflective of our expansive skills set, from events to communications, from design to business engagement there are few organisations that can match our depth and breadth of experience.”
If you are a BID looking for any form of support detailed above, please do get in touch.
