Broadcaster James Whale will be compere for the hottest ticket in town - the inaugural Croydon Business Excellence Awards Charity Dinner and Gala Ball this autumn.
The south Londoner is one of the most popular voices on the radio, and probably the UK's best-known shock jock, as a result of his strident and argumentative views.
And he will host an action-packed evening as Croydon's business community comes together for the black-tie event at Fairfield Halls, Croydon, on Thursday, October 1.
With just 320 tickets available in the Arnhem Gallery, places are filling up fast, with guests urged to get in quick if they want to enjoy a full evening of entertainment.
As well as top-class cuisine, guests will get to celebrate Croydon's champion businesses with judges already having revealed entries of a particularly high standard.
There will also be a chance to chat to old friends or make new businesses contacts over a glass of bubbly, a charity auction to benefit the local good causes supported by Croydon Commitment and a live band playing until 1am during the glitziest event on the borough's business calendar.
Supporters of the awards are Allianz Global Assistance, Croydon Advertiser, Croydon Business Ventre, Croydon Chamber of Commerce, London Borough of Croydon, Handelsbanken, Interchange Croydon, Lark, Sussex Innovation Croydon, Wing Yip and Veolia.
