Property professionals can help make a charity tennis tournament a smash hit by being among the first to sign up at MIPIM UK on October 18 and 19.

Just 32 competitor places are available for the MIPIM LandAid Tennis Classic which is again being organised by White Label and takes place from 9am to 12.30pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

The fundraising tournament, at which MIPIM delegates swap deal-making for tie-breaking, has rapidly become a showpiece event during the world's leading real estate expo.

To promote the 2018 event, MIPIM UK organisers Reed Midem have set aside space for delegates at Olympia London to test their skills on an inflatable practice REBO wall, with a competition taking place over the two days.

This year's MIPIM LandAid Tennis Classic raised £20,915 for LandAid, the property industry's charity, which improves the lives of children and young people, plus a further £1,100 for the Cannes Community Fund.

Founding partner Martin Skinner, the chief executive of Inspired Homes and a former winner of the tournament, said: "It's a good fun break in the middle of MIPIM – we don't take it too seriously.

"It's a great cause. We're all trying to make money in real estate and it's good to put something back to those who desperately need it."

Who will follow Paul Monaghan, of AHMM Architects in winning the #MakeaRacket shield at the MIPIM Tennis Classic 2018?

Former England rugby star Kyran Bracken was among a 28-strong field for this year's tournament, which starts in a doubles format before switching to singles for the semi-finals.

Book now and you can play for a special early bird rate of £400 or £800 for a team of two.

From November 1, the price reverts to the full rate of £500 per person. Competitors are required to raise a minimum of £500 each in fundraising.

Tickets for spectators are priced at a minimum donation of £50.

Support the tournament and be part of something unique. It is not only a fun event, but a great opportunity to build business connections while raising money for a good cause.

A wide range of sponsorship opportunities are available, providing a fantastic opportunity to establish a brand association with this unique fast-growing event.

As LandAid chair Liz Peace says: "It's really important for people who come to MIPIM and spend a lot of money to think about people who haven't got much money and about the good the property industry can do when it gets together."
