The sixth annual Croydon Food & Music Festival – the borough's biggest event for foodies – is back this June with a hot new flavour for 2017.
More than 12,000 people attended last year's festival in the famous Croydon Restaurant Quarter in the town's South End.
And organisers, the South Croydon Business Association, have ambitious plans to make the hugely popular alfresco dining event on Sunday, June 25 even bigger and better.
Apart from the smorgasbord of fantastic food and drink stalls offering delicious hot and cold international cuisine, there will be three stages featuring a fantastic line-up of live music this year, with every genre of music covered from folk and rock to jazz and blues.
Street performers will entertain festival goers along the whole of South End, which will be pedestrianised and closed to traffic between Coombe Road and Aberdeen Road. And there'll be face painting and games for the kids.
"The South Croydon Business Association is extremely proud to be able to put on this sixth annual Croydon Food and Music Festival," said SCBA spokesman Peter Bagatti.
"It's wonderful to see the community and businesses come together to stage what is undoubtedly Croydon's biggest food festival. Last year a record 12,000 people came along to enjoy a really fabulous day out and we hope even more join us on June 25."
The festival has already attracted a host of sponsors including Bagattis Restaurant, Scream Lounge, London Borough of Croydon, The Croydon Partnership, Quantum Homes, Keg and Grill, and Bryden Johnson.
Offering something to suit every taste, South End is officially recognised as Croydon's Restaurant Quarter.
With an outstanding range of eating options, including a Michelin-rated restaurant and cuisine from around the globe, South End's chefs share an incredible passion for good food.
Every year South End's traditional village atmosphere makes a perfect setting for a fabulous festival dedicated to wonderful food and great music.
